[English]Vinaconex P&C Joint Stock Company carried out the survey and determination of the construction route at Nam Mo 1 Hydroelectric Project, Xieng Khouang Province - Lao PDR

  To prepare for the implementation of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for the Nam Mo 1 Hydroelectric Project in Xieng Khouang Province, Lao PDR, from January 02nd, 2020 to January 06th, 2020 of the delegation of Vinaconex Power Development and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company - Vinaconex P&C led by Mr. Pham Bao Long - Standing Deputy General Director of the Company took a field trip to the construction route together with Investment Company Limited, Asia Investment, Development & Construction Sole Co., Ltd (AIDC - Laos) to survey and evaluate the potential of Nam Mo 1 Hydroelectric Project on Nam Mo River in Xieng Khouang Province for the cooperation in researching project investment.

    Nam Mo 1 Hydroelectric Project has the designed capacity of 60MW, the average power output of 220 million KWh. After the project is completed, the electricity will be connected to 220KV wire line of 25 km long to 220KV station to sell electricity to EVN.

  The project purposes are to re-determine the construction routes with technical experts, prepare the implementation of topographic and geological surveys and formulate basic design plans. In addition, the project is aimed to assess conditions of traffic roads, the ability to mobilize manpower, material resources, vehicles and coordinate with localities in the partner country to implement the project.

    Although the trip has gone through various roads full of difficulties, hardships, poor feeding and sleeping conditions, etc., it was also interesting with new experiences in Laos of the delegation members.

    The trip got a great success, achieved significant results and left a good impression on the Partner about the enthusiasm, sense of responsibility and high professionalism of the delegation. The two parties agreed to continue to coordination to carry out the next steps of the project.
